Dennis E. Journell is a funeral assistant with John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem . He was born in Huntington , West Virginia and graduated from Andrew Lewis High School in Salem . He is a member of West Salem Baptist Church , Past Master at Taylor Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, Captain of the Provost Guard in the Kazim Temple and American Legion. Dennis retired from Tyco International and is married to Wanda Martin Journell. Dennis is active with the funeral home: he assists with funerals and helps out in many capacities throughout the funeral home.
