Dame, Kathleen K., 83, a long time resident of
Salem
, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2006.
Born December 17, 1922 to the late Benjamin Frank and Frances Himes
Kinsley she was the wife of the late Jack K. Dame.
She was a graduate of
Jefferson
High School
and
National
Business
College
in
Roanoke
and a former employee of
Lewis
Gale
Hospital
and the
Salem
Civic
Center
. She was a long time member
of the
First
United
Methodist
Church
in
Salem
and a member of the American Businesswomen’s Association.
Surviving family include her children, Jacquelyn Dame Denton of
Salem
, Benjamin B. “Bucky” Dame of Winston-Salem, NC and James K. “Bo”
Dame, II of Murfreesboro, NC; grandchildren, Benjamin Knox “BK” Denton
of Salem, Gregory James Dame and Rachel Marie Dame of Winston-Salem, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at
11:00 am at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in
Salem
with Rev. Lee Zehmer, a cousin of Lexington, NC officiating.
Interment will follow at
Sherwood
Memorial Park
. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
